Kunapipi is a self-catering lodge, so bring your food (including frozen) with you. The kitchen is well stocked for you to cook individually or for groups.

Kitchen features :-

2 ovens, 2 cook tops, 2 microwaves, 2 dishwashers and 2 sink areas laid out to allow food preparation by individuals or one big group.

Other cooking appliances include a slow cooker, 2 electric frypans, air fryer, sandwich press, 2 rice cookers, 2 kettles and 2 toasters. We have a coffee machine which uses Nespresso or compatible pods. Stove top and plunger coffee makers are also provided.

Provision for personal cooking items are allocated by your room number - you will have an allocated fridge compartment and pantry cupboard.

While the lodge offers self-catered accommodation, all the basic kitchen tools and appliances are supplied as well as grocery basics such as black and green tea, instant coffee, sugar, oil, salt, flour, cleaning products, tissues, paper napkins, firelighters, toilet paper, etc. Some communal items maybe left behind for incoming guests. However all perishable items must be removed from the fridge and freezer.

There is a Foodworks supermarket/liquor store in the Perisher Skitube terminal that is open in winter only from 8:00am -6:00pm. Orders can be placed by phone or online and delivered to the Lodge for a small fee. Telephone (02) 6457 5555 https://perisher.myfoodworks.com.au/

In the Skitube terminal there is also an ATM, Medical Centre, Pharmacy as well as other retail shops selling skiing equipment, clothing, souvenirs and jewellery.

The lodge also provides a ski room and a newly expanded walk-in drying room.

Entry to the lodge in winter is only through the ski room door using the secure key pad. Code to this door (and instructions) is on your booking confirmation email. NO winter entry is allowed via the bridge onto the top floor.

The new laundry has a washing machine, convection clothes dryer, iron/ ironing board, vacuum cleaners, toilet paper, kitchen towels, bathmats and large freezer.

All cleaning products are provided for members and guests.

For your evening entertainment or a relaxing day in, the lodge has an expansive lounge area featuring an open fireplace, adjoining the dining area which seats up to 30 people in large or small groups.

A Bluetooth Hyperboom speaker is available to listen to music. A well stocked games cupboard and selection of novels are there for guests use.

Please feel free to add to these at anytime and maintain these items orderly at the conclusion of your stay.

Accommodation

The lodge has 9 private ensuited rooms to sleep a maximum of 16 people.

8 bedrooms have a queen bed and a single trundle bed, to allow 2 people to sleep together or separately, as well as ensuite facilities which include a shower with hip bath, vanity and toilet. A bathmat is included in each bathroom. One bedroom has two single beds with an ensuite.

The rooms are spacious with thermostatic heating.

Each room is supplied with blankets, pillows and a feather doona and cover.

Guests need to supply their own fitted and top sheets, pillow cases and bath towels. A bathmat is provided by the lodge. If there is not one in your bathroom they can be found in the laundry.

A lodge/hut captain will be allocated for each week long stay. The responsibilities are outlined here.

Note: all guests at the lodge are expected to help in the operation during the stay. Tasks will be allocated by the lodge/hut captain e.g. emptying the rubbish, cleaning communal areas, maintaining snow stairs and restocking the firewood etc.

Lodge change over day and time is Saturday to Saturday -in and out at 10am.

Preferential bookings for members open from the AGM in March/April each year. Members who attend work parties during the summer months are given priority for bookings over those that do not attend.
